Organic Ceylon True Cinnamon

Ceylon cinnamon is one of the most famous spices in the world.  Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years as a medicine, a food preservative and flavour enhancer

Sri Lanka cinnamon has a smooth and thin bark with a light yellowish brown color which brings forth a rich aroma. True Cinnamon is widely used in both savory and sweet food & beverage items.

Ceylon cinnamon also known as Sri Lanka cinnamon or true cinnamon is a tiny evergreen tree associated to the family Lauraceous, which is native to this tropical island. Its inner bark is used to produce cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon does not contain coumarin unlike other substitute origins like cassia. Ceylon cinnamon is also called “True Cinnamon” in the world and it’s only produced in Sri Lanka.

Clove of commerce is the dried, fully grown but still unopened flower buds of  the evergreen tree Eugenia caryophyllus of the family Myrtaceae.  It is a colorless or slightly yellowish liquid, becoming darker with age  and exposure to the light.

Ceylon black pepper comprises a unique

pungent flavor and aroma that enhances

 savory dishes and is also used as a medicine.

 The King, and one of the most important and known spices in the world; has a distinct pungent flavor and aroma used mainly in savor y dishes, but also accentuates fresh produce. Black Pepper has a sharp penetrating aroma and a characteristic woody, piney flavor. It is hot and  biting to the taste. The health benefits of black pepper include relief from respiratory disorders, coughs, the common cold, constipation, indigestion, anemia, impotency, muscular strains, dental disease, pyorrhea, diarrhea, and heart disease.

Pepper, popularly known as the “King of spices” and it accounts for  ….occupies largest percentage in the international spice trade. It is most widely used spice all over the world. Black pepper of commerce is the mature dried berries of the woody perennial evergreen  climbing vine, Piper nigrum. Pepper is cultivated over an area of 32,800 ha of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan black pepper has higher piperine content which conduces to fetch a premium price in international spice trade.  

Organic Ceylon Mace

This spice is dry outer aril that firmly envelops the nutmeg kernel even though Mace and Nutmeg  are derived from the same nutmeg fruit these two are considered to be entirely two different Mace possesses an intense aroma compared to the Nutmeg. It also tastesmore pungent a nd spicier than nutmeg. That’s why it is a common sight to see  Mace in the kitchens of homes and restaurants all around the world.

As a spice, it mixes well with other spices to create curry powders and paste. It is used for home-made mustards, to colour rice yellow, and as an alternative to saffron. It has a wide array of medicinal benefits due to its antibacterial, anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties.
